Rastko Buljančević is an employed doctoral researcher at the Department of Cultural Sciences at the University of Gothenburg and at the Graduate School “The Future of Democracy: Cultural Analyses of Illiberal Populism in Times of Crises (FUDEM)”. Simultaneously, he is pursuing a PhD at the Academy of Arts, University of Novi Sad, where he has completed all doctoral courses with top grades. For his academic work, he received two exceptional awards from the University of Novi Sad. He was an exchange student at the Complutense University of Madrid for one semester. His research interests cover a wide range of topics, including the study of film music, video game studies, audio-visual culture, poetics of music, piano literature, performance studies and music criticism.
